Antolin - comment

The family appears to be shifting a gear with the generational succession of Ernesto Antolín Calzada by his daughter Emma Antolin. He will remain in a Vice Chairman role, but step down from executive duties. Emma has been a member of the board and served in various committee roles for years, and holds an MBA. Interestingly and perhaps inevitably, the press release stated that management focus is shifting from operational turnaround to balance sheet management: "Strengthening Antolin’s financial position will be the central pillar of the new strategic plan, while the company continues to build on the progress achieved under the current Transformation Plan. This new roadmap aims to reinforce the Company’s financial position and maximize value creation by accelerating margin improvement and cash generation."
