The mistakes in pay packets were initially revealed in March 2024. The sums involved are small, so ASDA is being magnanimous in settling the issue and moving on. The payroll problem turned out to be a red flag about the rest of the IT project (Project Future). A more serious issue was the new logistics system, which directly led to the weak Christmas trading in 2025.
