Atos continues to make progress on disposals of non-core assets, announcing on 26 December the sale of its South American operations to Semantix, a Brazilian company. While no transaction value was disclosed, the disposed perimeter comprises approximately 2,800 employees, or around 4% of Atos’s total workforce. The transaction is consistent with the Genesis transformation plan, aimed at refocusing the group on core geographies and activities.

Atos has not disclosed the revenue associated with the sale. However, an Atos entity reported to the SEC in 2022 that approximately US$800m of revenue was generated in South America, although this figure may not fully reflect the scope of the disposed assets.

This follows the sale earlier in December to divest one of its Nordic businesses, which employed 80 people and had €20m in revenue.
