Heimstaden Bostad - comment

Alecta, the largest investor in Heimstaden Bostad, stated that it wishes to reduce its exposure to Heimstaden Bostad by at least SEK6bn to bring its stake to c.20% of Heimstaden Bostad (currently 34.8%). 

The pension fund released its interim report earlier this week, according to which the Heimstaden position remains its single largest investment. Alecta is currently in arbitration proceedings it initiated in December 2024, against Heimstaden Investment regarding Ivar Tollefsen’s investments in a new subsidiary, which they believe conflicts with the shareholder agreement. Additionally, Alecta itself remains under investigation from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority regarding its investments in Heimstaden and other external investments.
