SES/Intelsat - comment

SES has completed its acquisition of Intelsat after receiving FCC approval earlier this week. Our model already includes a pro forma capital structure, and we see no need to make any changes for now. While we understand the rationale for mergers between incumbents in an industry that is facing disruption from a new technology, this deal seems better for Intelsat than for SES.
