A three-day strike begins at Ubisoft in reaction to the announced additional cost savings plans. Ubisoft has already cut 20% of its workforce and is cutting more. For comparison, in the US, the industry has dropped approx. 1/3 of developers, as the post-pandemic wave of payers dissipates and borrowing costs rise for the debt-laden industry. The mood is sombre.
