We are reading news articles (possibly AI-generated) portraying the collapsed sale of the ground infrastructure to EQT as a setback. Note that the deal was dropped in the context of the company’s equity raise and refinancing and communicated as far back as January 27th. From our perspective, control over the ground infrastructure is critical to long-term pricing power and satisfying national security concerns. So we consider the withdrawn deal a win for Eutelsat, not a “setback at all”. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no news out at all, and misguided articles like these should not exist.
